The UE Red Warriors are the men’s collegiate basketball team of the University of the East (UE), based in Manila, Philippines. The university was founded on September 21, 1946, by Dr. Francisco T. Dalupan Sr., while the Red Warriors basketball program became part of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) when UE joined the league in 1952. Since then, the team has developed into one of the most recognized programs in Philippine collegiate basketball, representing the university in the country’s premier intercollegiate sports competition.
The UE Red Warriors’ identity is closely associated with the university’s red and white athletic colors and its warrior-inspired nickname.
