Woollim Entertainment is a South Korean music label and artist management agency founded in 2003 by Lee Jung-yeop. Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company initially built its reputation by working with musicians across different genres, including rock, hip-hop, and contemporary pop, before becoming more widely recognized in the K-pop industry. In August 2013, Woollim merged with SM Culture & Contents (SM C&C), a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, and operated as an independent music label within the company’s structure. Its music business was subsequently separated into a standalone corporate entity in 2016. Lee Jung-yeop has remained a key figure in Woollim’s development, helping shape its musical identity and artist management strategy.
Woollim Entertainment operates in the K-pop, music production, record label, talent development, and entertainment management industries. Its activities include discovering and training aspiring artists, producing and distributing music, managing performers, and organizing promotional activities and live performances. The company is known for its involvement with artists and groups such as INFINITE, Nell, Lovelyz, Golden Child, Rocket Punch, DRIPPIN, and soloist Kwon Eun-bi, although several of these acts are former artists. Woollim continues to develop its artist roster and produce music for Korean and international audiences, contributing to South Korea’s wider entertainment industry through its focus on musical creativity, performance, and artist development.
